It’s not just talking…

by Janette Tombleson

CBT is based on an educational model. Most emotional and behavioural  reactions are learned, scientific research supports this assumption.

Therefore the goal of therapy is to help you unlearn your unwanted reactions and to learn a new way of reacting.

An added benefit of this educational approach is that it has long term results. When you understand how and why, you are doing well, you have learnt how to continue to do well.

I agree ! The fostering of positive habits and “fake it till you make it ”
may feel difficult at first , but ,as with all attitude and behavioural change , the effects are progressive and rewarding…
Keep on keeping on !
